Womanist Ethnography Conference 2025
Welcome to The 7th Annual Womanist Ethnography Conference
Womanist ethnographic research brings focus to Black women’s experiences, narratives and concerns as the starting point to work toward social analysis and change.
The Womanist Ethnography Conference increases the representation of Black women in culture and society and is concerned with attending to multiple facets of the diversity that exists among Black women.
We will consider the distinct nature of womanist ethnography in practice and theory—and how it leads us to “color outside the lines” imposed by artificial forms of objectivity.
This year we are very excited to have an intergenerational, multidisciplinary, and context rich program.
